Description

Randstad Digital is recruiting a Backend Developer - PHP/Symfony for a , Aveiro and Braga. 5+ years of experience building and maintaining backend systems in production;Strong hands-on experience with PHP and frameworks such as Symfony or similar;Experience working on evolving and improving existing systems in live environments;Solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling;Experience designing and consuming REST APIs;Strong focus on code quality, testing, and maintainability;Good understanding of performance, reliability, and error handling;Comfortable working with complex business rules and data-critical systems;Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders;Fluency in English is mandatory.

Develop and maintain backend services in a production environment;Build reliable and scalable backend logic with a strong focus on correctness and stability;Continuously improve system architecture, code quality, and maintainability;Ensure smooth integrations and data exchange between systems;Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested PHP code following best practices;Contribute to automated testing strategies to ensure high-quality production services;Collaborate closely with product and technical leadership to align on requirements and priorities; Identify performance and reliability issues and propose improvements;Document technical decisions and improvements when relevant.
