Description

Adecco is recruiting a Senior Accountant for a renowned client in the center of Braga, in the high-tech industry.

Key Responsibilities Lead the implementation and optimization of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365) in a manufacturing environment, including process mapping, testing, data migration, and user training.

Define and improve accounting processes and internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS and SOX (when applicable).

Structure and manage cost centers and cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, overhead calculations, and variance analysis.

Analyze production and cost variances, identify root causes, and collaborate with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to implement improvements.

Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements, with a focus on COGS and margins.

Prepare management reports, budgets, forecasts, and decision-support analyses to improve efficiency.

Manage inventory accounting (cycle counts, physical inventories, and obsolescence).

Lead the accounting team and collaborate cross-functionally with operational areas and ERP master data.

Required Qualifications Professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent).

Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience in manufacturing environment.

Proven experience implementing ERP systems in a manufacturing context (process mapping, configuration, testing, and go-live).

Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting.

Experience defining accounting processes, internal controls, and cost center structures.

Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Odoo, or similar) and advanced Excel.
