Data Engineer DBT – Hybrid (Porto)

What we are looking for

Hard skills

  • 3–4 years of experience in Data Engineering or a related role.
  • Hands-on experience with dbt Core, including CLI-based development and version control.
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with analytical databases or data warehouses.
  • Intermediate knowledge of data modeling concepts (e.g. star schema, medallion architecture).
  • Familiarity with Git-based workflows.
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts applied to data pipelines
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English (written and spoken).
  • Experience with Python for data processing and/or orchestration tasks.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Hands-on experience with Dataiku for data preparation and analytics workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, and visualization best practices).
  • Experience building or supporting machine learning models in Dataiku.
  • Exposure to Generative AI or LLM-based use cases (e.g. embeddings, prompt engineering).
