Role Overview

We are looking for a Database Administrator to join one of our Nearshore Teams working for international clients accross The Netherlands and other European countries.

You will play a key role in designing advanced database and middleware architectures, leading cloud migration initiatives, and driving automation and standardization across environments.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical depth, architectural influence, and mentoring others.

What You Will Do

  • Design and implement advanced Oracle and PostgreSQL (EDB) database environments;
  • Lead OCI and Azure cloud migration and adoption projects;
  • Develop and optimize Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform and Ansible;
  • Drive automation, standardization, and best practices across infrastructures;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance, scalability, and availability issues;
  • Mentor Medior consultants and contribute to continuous team learning;
  • Participate in architectural decisions and strategic planning initiatives;
  • Ensure security and compliance by defining policies, supporting audits, and advising on risk mitigation.

What you are like

  • Experienced in Oracle Database and PostgreSQL/EDB environments;
  • Proficient with Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) and Exadata (highly valuable);
  • Skilled in middleware technologies such as WebLogic, ORDS, and Tomcat;
  • Comfortable working with cloud platforms (OCI and Azure) and hybrid infrastructures;
  • Proficient with IaC tooling (Terraform, Ansible) and familiar with CI/CD and DevOps principles;
  • Adept in ITIL and Agile methodologies;
  • Capable of reading and adjusting scripts written in Python or similar languages;
  • Knowledgeable on security and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC2);
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset;
  • Passionate about automation and continuous improvement;
  • Excellent communicator and advisor, fluent in English.
