DevOps Engineer

Core Responsibilities:

Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and SAP BTP for deploying CAP applications and microservices to BTP Kyma Kubernetes

Manage and optimize Kubernetes deployments on BTP Kyma runtime

Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools

Manage access control and security configurations across BTP accounts

Optimize application performance and resource utilization

Create and maintain documentation for deployment processes and runbooks, including its encoding into MCP for Agentic access

Required Technical Skills

Container Orchestration: Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, including deployments, services, ingress, secrets management, and resource optimization

CI/CD Tools: Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar automation platforms

Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with Terraform, Helm charts, or similar tools

Scripting: Strong skills in Bash, Python, or Node.js for automation

Cloud Platforms: Understanding of cloud-native architectures and platform services

Version Control: Advanced Git workflows including branching strategies and GitOps practices

Monitoring & Observability: Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar tools

SAP Technology Expertise

  • BTP Kyma: Deploy and manage applications on SAP's Kubernetes runtime, configure service mesh, and implement scaling policies
  • SAP Cloud Transport Management: Automate landscape-specific deployments across development, test, and production
  • BTP Services Integration: Configure and manage bindings to HANA Cloud, AI Core, and other platform services
  • SAP Business Application Studio: Set up and maintain dev spaces for team development environments

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience with SAP BTP deployments and multi-tenancy configurations
  • Knowledge of SAP security concepts including OAuth2, XSUAA, and role-based access control
  • Understanding of SAP integration patterns and API management
