Role Overview:

We are looking for a DevOps/Platform Engineer to join our teams and support one of our clients in building, operating, and evolving a Group Data Platform in the cloud.

This role is ideal for experienced engineers with a strong DevOps and cloud background who enjoy owning the full platform lifecycle.

You will play a key role in shaping a scalable, reliable, and easy-to-use platform that enables data services across the organisation.

What You Will Do

Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation);

Build, standardise, and operate CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab;

Manage and optimise AWS workloads (ECS, EC2, Glue, Athena, CloudFront, WAF) supporting data and platform services;

Operate and support containerised microservices using Docker and ECS;

Monitor platforms and applications, ensuring high availability and reliability through observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Coralogix);

Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in pre-production and production environments, contributing to continuous improvement;

Collaborate closely with data, development, and architecture teams to enable effective platform adoption;

Contribute to best practices in DevOps, platform engineering, and operational excellence.

What you are like:

Experienced in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles, with end-to-end ownership of cloud platforms;

Proficient in AWS services, particularly ECS, EC2, Glue, Athena, CloudFront, and WAF;

Highly skilled in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation;

Confident building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab, and Git-based workflows;

Comfortable working with containerised environments (Docker, microservices) and Linux/Unix systems;

Knowledgeable in monitoring, observability, and incident management, with an SRE mindset;

Collaborative and proactive, able to work closely with multiple teams and support platform adoption;

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
