Lisbon-based opportunity with hybrid work model — up to 2 remote days per week.

As a Junior Developer, you will be working for our client, a leader in the insurance industry.

Join their team to develop and enhance critical digital solutions, contributing to transforming insurance services with modern technology.

This role offers a valuable growth path within a dynamic and innovative environment.

Your main responsibilities:

Collaborate with the product owner and business analysts to understand and implement software requirements effectively.

Assist in designing, coding, and testing new application features using Java, Angular, and related technologies.

Support the team in reviewing merge requests and ensuring code quality standards are met.

Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Document developed features clearly and maintain high standards of technical excellence.

Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in development processes and practices.

Support deployment and troubleshooting efforts, following best practices.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

1+ years of experience in software development, particularly with Java and Angular.

Knowledge of Java (8, 17, 21), Angular, HTML, and TypeScript.

Familiarity with GitLab, IntelliJ, Jenkins, Maven, and REST API.

Experience working with databases like Oracle or Postgres.

Understanding of Agile methodologies.

Good communication skills in English; French language skills are a plus.

It is a strong plus if you have:

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka.

Certifications or additional training in Java or Angular development.

Language Required for the role:

Fluent English is required.

French language skills at a B1/B2 level are preferred.

Eligibility for the role:
