Lisbon-based opportunity with hybrid work model (3 days from home per week).

As a Mid to Senior Application Support Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading organization focused on critical application infrastructure and operations.

You’ll play a vital role in managing and supporting complex systems that drive key business functions, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.

Join us to impact innovation and streamline enterprise support processes in a dynamic environment.

Your main responsibilities:

Manage and resolve production incidents swiftly to minimize downtime and impact.

Coordinate and oversee technical operations, including disaster recovery and backup tests.

Collaborate with development, sysadmin, and network teams to manage application and infrastructure changes.

Maintain detailed documentation of application architecture and operational procedures.

Monitor applications and infrastructure to ensure compliance with SLAs and security standards.

Optimize application load capacity and contribute to automation efforts to improve efficiency.

Implement performance enhancements and troubleshoot system issues proactively.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

3+ years of experience in application support roles.

Strong knowledge of both Linux and Windows operating environments.

Experience with Control-M or other industrial schedulers.

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, and PowerShell.

Knowledge of databases and infrastructure backup and recovery strategies.

Experience with monitoring tools, including Elastic Stack.

Solid understanding of networking concepts, LDAP, and security tools like Firewalls, Active Directory, and Kerberos.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

Certifications in Linux, Windows Server, or related fields.

Experience working in multilingual environments.

Knowledge of cloud platforms or automation tools.

Fluent in English
