What is this challenge about:

Define and refine clear, objective acceptance criteria in close collaboration with Product Owners and development teams, using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve clarity and completeness.

Specify and, whenever possible, automate test cases and test scenarios using BDD/TDD frameworks with AI assistance.

Develop and maintain automated tests at unit, integration, and end-to-end levels, ensuring alignment with engineering best practices and meaningful test coverage.

Collaborate with DevOps Engineers and Architecture teams to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution and real-time quality reporting.

Analyze test results and quality metrics, proposing and implementing technical and process improvements (e.g., refactoring, coverage optimisation, adoption of new automation tools).

Document all automated tests according to team standards and best practices.

Promote a strong culture of quality ownership across the development teams.

What we are looking for:

+4 years of experience as a QA Engineer.

Strong expertise in AI-assisted test automation (unit, integration, and end-to-end testing).

Proven experience defining clear, testable acceptance criteria, preferably in automation-friendly formats such as BDD.

Hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot for test generation and maintenance; code review support; early defect detection; refactoring suggestions

Experience working with GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines.

Solid understanding of automated testing strategies and quality metrics.

Ability to write automated tests in Python, including unit and integration tests.

Experience using AI tools to generate, adapt, and optimize test code.

Ability to analyze Python codebases to identify relevant test scenarios.

Experience validating test coverage and proactively proposing improvements.

Strong documentation skills, following established QA and engineering best practices.

Living in Lisbon (hybrid role)

Fluent level of English and Portuguese.
