Security Support Engineer – Lisbon (Hybrid)

Scope of Work

Deploy and operate an administration infrastructure zone dedicated to sensitive ITN assets.

This zone is dedicated to hosting critical tools or management of critical assets.

It supplies a high level of segregation and controlled access to secure administration activities of sensitive assets.

ENG Department

You will be embedded within the ENG Department (Engineering) and these will be the main tasks:

Strategic Project Support

Support for the entity’s strategic projects, which concern:

  • Network infrastructures
  • Virtualized hosting infrastructures

Security Tools Definition and Support

Definition, industrialization and support to operational teams regarding:

  • Access control security tools
  • Authentication solutions
  • Vulnerability management
  • Security control
  • Security supervision

Network Equipment Deployment

Deployment of network equipment and ensuring their maintenance in Operational conditions (MCO) and Security conditions (MCS)

What You Will Do

We are looking for someone to intervene in the following areas:

Network & Security Operations

  • Set up Firewall filtering rules
  • Production, configuration and deployment of network equipment
  • Support operational teams in managing and solving problems
  • Participate in the maintenance in operational and safety conditions (MCO/MCS) of deployed security equipment

Documentation

  • Draft and update:

o Architecture documents

o Good practice guides

o Documentary reference systems

Automation

  • Integrate automation of security solution deployments

Architecture Role

Act as a technical architect on infrastructure security solutions, including:

  • Understanding the client’s needs
  • Selecting the appropriate components from the available service catalog

Project Management Role

Act as a project manager, responsible for:

  • Deploying the recommended solution
  • Respecting
  • Respecting financial constraints
  • Coordinating contributors potentially located around the world

Technical Networking Tasks

  • Work with network and security technologies, including:

o TCP/IP

o IPSec

o Protocols

o Routing

o Packet filtering

o Proxy

o SSL encryptions

  • Install, configure and maintain IP network equipment in compliance with engineering rules

Skills required

  • Good knowledge of equipment used in the Security field, including, Firewalls / Packet Filters, Stormshield and IDS/IPS probes;
  • Good knowledge of network technologies to understand interactions with security equipment, including Routing concepts, IPv4 and IPv6 addressing plan management and Troubleshooting;
  • Good knowledge of DevOps environments (Gitlab, Ansible, Gitlab-runner)
  • Good knowledge of Containers & Microservices with Docker and Kubernetes,
  • Good Unix/Linux skills
  • Good knowledge of English, due to frequent exchanges with international teams
