Porto-based opportunity with hybrid work model.

As a Senior Application Support Engineer – Financial Systems, you will be working for our client, a leader in the financial industry, providing technical support for the Summit platform.

Your role is critical in ensuring seamless system operations, supporting both back-office and front-office financial applications, and aiding the technical teams through detailed log and flow analysis.

Join us to shape the future of financial systems support and refine processes for optimal performance.

Your main responsibilities:

Provide functional and technical support for the Summit platform, including control-m and Linux environments.

Collaborate with business users to resolve issues, troubleshoot system flows, and ensure system stability.

Perform log and flow analysis to identify root causes and implement timely solutions.

Assist the functional team with technical research and analysis, including SQL queries and system diagnostics.

Maintain and improve L1 and L2 support processes to deliver high-quality service.

Document incidents and solutions, ensuring knowledge sharing for continuous improvement.

Support system upgrades, patches, and configurations as needed.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

At least 6 years of experience in a technical support role within financial systems.

Strong proficiency in SQL (1+ year experience).

Experience supporting financial back-office or front-office applications.

Hands-on knowledge of Summit, control-m, Linux, and MS Office tools.

Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Willingness to work in a hybrid model with up to 3 remote days per week.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

Background in financial markets or trading environments.

Additional certifications related to system support or financial technologies.

Language Required for the role:

Fluent English command is essential.
