Lisbon-based opportunity with hybrid work model (3 days remote per week)

As a Senior Big Data Infrastructure Specialist, you will be working for our client in the dynamic banking industry.

You will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing complex data ecosystems, ensuring the delivery of seamless Big Data services that drive strategic insights and operational excellence.

Your main responsibilities:

Oversee Hadoop Ecosystem and Data Lake operations to guarantee high availability and performance

Manage Big Data Services and Query Engines to support analytics and business needs

Implement Monitoring and Automation strategies for efficient platform management

Handle Platform Lifecycle Management to ensure stability, upgrades, and continuous improvement

Diagnose and solve issues in Big Data environments swiftly and effectively

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance data solutions aligned with business objectives

You're ideal for this role if you have:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Big Data infrastructure or related roles

Strong expertise in Hadoop Ecosystem and Data Lake operations

Proficiency in Big Data Services and Query Engines

Experience with Monitoring and Automation tools and practices

Skills in Platform Lifecycle Management

Problem-solving abilities in complex Big Data environments

Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken

Solid knowledge of Linux systems and infrastructure management

It is a strong plus if you have:

Certification or experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)

Familiarity with data security and compliance standards

Language Required for the role:

Fluent in English
