As a Senior Java Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading investment bank, on the development and enhancement of core collateral and cash management functionalities within the Calypso platform.

You will play a key role in designing robust, high-performance Java applications that support critical back-office operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Your main responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Java applications within the Calypso framework to support collateral and cash management processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, interpret business needs, and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring optimal application performance, security, and reliability.

Participate in code reviews, define best practices, and promote quality standards across development teams.

Assist in integrating Calypso with other banking systems and tools within the bank’s technology ecosystem.

Contribute to regulatory compliance implementations by ensuring systems are audit-ready and traceable.

Continuously evaluate and improve system performance, scalability, and robustness.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

At least 6 years of proven Java development experience in a financial or banking environment.

Preferably, hands-on experience with the Calypso platform and back-office processes.

Strong proficiency with Spring Boot, REST, microservices architecture, and modern Java frameworks.

Solid understanding of investment banking operations, especially in collateral and cash management.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an international team.

Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.

Valid right to work in the European Union.

It is a strong plus if you have:

Prior experience with Calypso system customization and integration.

Additional certifications in Java or financial software.

Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as MiFID, EMIR, or Dodd-Frank.

Language Required for the role:

Fluent English (verbal and written).
