For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:

Minimum of 5–6 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java backend development

Proven experience leading complex technical initiatives and collaborating with multiple teams to align on architectural and design decisions

Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns

Hands-on experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development (TDD / Shift-Left approach)

Proficiency with Git and working in CI/CD pipelines

Strong experience with Spring Boot and other backend frameworks commonly used in Java-based systems

Practical experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code

Working knowledge of Apache Kafka

Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration

Familiarity with GraphQL Federation

Knowledge of Azure Cloud services and deployments

Experience with OpenTelemetry (OTEL) for observability and distributed tracing

Fluency in English, at least a B2
