Senior Java Solution Architect – Backend Development

Portugal-based opportunity with remote work model (up to 2 days per week).

As a Senior Java Solution Designer, you will be working for our client, a forward-thinking technology leader dedicated to crafting robust, scalable backend solutions.

Your expertise will help build resilient architectures that drive technological excellence and business success.

Your main responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of Java-based backend solutions, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into detailed functional and technical specifications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement API interfaces and ensure seamless integration.

Maintain and enhance existing solutions using advanced Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and PostgreSQL.

Participate in code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes.

Apply development tools such as Maven, Git, and IDEs, maintaining high-quality code with tools like Sonar and Veracode.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

5+ years of experience in backend Java development.

Advanced skills in Java, OOP, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and API interfaces.

Experience with development toolchains (Maven, Git, IDEs, Sonar, Veracode).

Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).

Proven expertise with PostgreSQL databases.

Ability to analyze business needs and craft detailed technical specifications.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

Certifications in Java or cloud technologies.

Experience working in agile environments.

Fluent in English and French
