Lisbon-based opportunity with hybrid work model, allowing up to 3 remote days per week.

As a Senior Middleware Operations Engineer – Kafka, Qlik, Cloudera, you will be supporting our client, a leading player in the banking sector committed to providing secure, reliable, and innovative financial solutions.

Your expertise will ensure the stability and performance of essential middleware platforms, contributing to transformative digital banking services.

This role offers a unique chance to grow within a dynamic environment at the forefront of financial technology innovation.

Your main responsibilities:

Support the run activities of Kafka and Qlik Replicate platforms, ensuring high availability and operational stability.

Troubleshoot incidents efficiently, driving resolution within established SLAs.

Execute standard changes, service requests, and operational documentation updates proactively.

Collaborate with infrastructure, security, network, and application teams to ensure seamless platform performance.

Manage support activities usly, escalating risks appropriately and recommending technical optimizations.

Develop and reinforce operational procedures to adhere to best practices in a production-critical environment.

Contribute to the team’s autonomy, enhancing Kafka and Qlik operations expertise, and developing understanding of Cloudera platform dependencies.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

At least 3 years of experience supporting middleware platforms in production or critical environments.

Proven Kafka administration or operations support experience.

Hands-on knowledge of Qlik Replicate or similar CDC/replication solutions.

Good understanding of Linux administration, log analysis, monitoring tools, and incident management.

Strong ability to operate independently within a support team.

Experience in deploying and maintaining middleware solutions in regulated or banking environments.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

Exposure to Cloudera environments.

Knowledge of database replication concepts.

Language Required for the role:

Fluent in English
