We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to work in Coimbra, Braga or Lisbon (Hybrid).

The role will focus on designing, configuring, and supporting API gateway and platform capabilities in a large enterprise environment, working across application, middleware, and cloud layers.

The ideal candidate is a senior individual contributor who can work independently, act as a Kong subject‑matter expert, and support secure, scalable, and reliable API solutions with strong hands-on approach to implement solutions.

Skills required:

  • Fluency in English;
  • Experience with API engineering;
  • Experience with Kong API Gateway;
  • Experience with API gateway design & configuration;
  • Experience with API gateway operations & support;
  • Experience with Enterprise‑scale API platforms;
  • Experience with Secure API design (authentication, authorization, policies);
  • Experience with Scalable API architectures;
  • Experience with Middleware integration;
  • Experience with Cloud platform integration;
  • Experience with Hands‑on implementation & troubleshooting
