What is this challenge about:

Communicate and implement test approaches and strategies for APIs.

Understand requirements and raise relevant questions to clarify scope and functionality.

Contribute to automated test frameworks to verify functional and non-functional requirements.

Collaborate with team members to ensure delivery of products according to specifications.

Troubleshoot, identify critical bugs, verify reported issues, and determine their root causes.

Communicate status, progress, and issues to a variety of stakeholders.

Follow and promote QA best practices within the team.

Write test approaches for functional testing and exploratory test charters, reporting outcomes clearly.

Participate in agile team activities, including sprint planning, estimation, and prioritization.

What we are looking for:

+2 years of professional professional experience in API testing, both manual and automated.

Strong experience developing automated acceptance tests for APIs using TypeScript (primary) and Java (for legacy systems).

Experience with BDD and Gherkin techniques for test specification.

Proficiency with GitHub or similar version control tools.

Experience working collaboratively in Agile Scrum teams.

Experience in automation code refactoring.

CI/CD experience deploying builds (AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions; Jenkins knowledge is a plus).

Experience with AWS services and tools (S3, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.).

Proficiency using API testing tools such as Postman, Bruno, Insomnia, or similar.

Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting, documentation, and stakeholder interactions.

Ability to plan, estimate, and manage time effectively within an agile team.

Living in Braga, Coimbra or Lisbon (hybrid role).

Fluent level of English.
