Sr. Data Scientist (Trust & Safety)

Job Brief:

We’re hiring a Senior Data Scientist (B2B) to join a Trust & Safety / Moderation team within a large-scale marketplace platform.

Reporting to the Data Science Manager, you’ll work on building and improving models to detect fraud and policy violations across areas such as ad creation and user interactions.

This is a long-term B2B role (18+ months), with strong potential for integration.

The position sits in a cross-functional setup with direct exposure to production systems in a fast-evolving environment.

Responsibilities:

Develop and improve machine learning models for fraud detection and content moderation.

Work with highly imbalanced datasets and define the right evaluation metrics.

Analyze evolving fraud patterns and identify new risks across the platform.

Contribute to the productionization of models, working closely with engineering teams.

Monitor and optimize model performance in real-world environments.

Build analytical frameworks and automation to improve detection over time.

Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams in a distributed setup.

Requirements & Skills:

Senior-level experience as a Data Scientist.

Strong background in fraud detection, moderation, or Trust & Safety domains.

Experience handling highly imbalanced datasets and defining performance metrics.

Hands-on experience with ML techniques, ideally in NLP and/or Computer Vision.

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to adapt to a dynamic fraud landscape.

Experience working with production-level ML systems.

Comfortable working cross-functionally in international teams.

Fluent in English.
