Location: Kildare County / Ireland The nearest airport is Dublin (around 1 hour from the airport).

Close to 2 Towns: Castledermot and Athy.

The Hotel One of Ireland’s oldest inhabitated castles, is a hidden jewel, 5 stars unit.

Castle Resort has 140 Bedroom, set on 180 acres of landscaped gardens, ancient woodland and a meandering river, boasts several accommodation options to appeal to all tastes.

This family-owned and managed estate offers a tranquil spa, a challenging 18-hole championship golf course and a world-class culinary experience.   Position: Chef de Partie Salary: gross 13.50€ - 16.00€ per hour (depending on your experience).

Minimum guaranteed weekly hours 40.

Requirements: - To arrive at work on time and dressed in a full clean pressed uniform, to include your name-badge (if on buffet);

  • Ensure your work area is kept clean and tidy at all times;
  • Deal with any guest queries in a polite and friendly manner;
  • To report any problems to the Supervisor/Manager on duty during your shift;
  • To assist with preparation for stocktaking / assist with stocktaking;
  • To maintain the level of cleanliness of the Hotel by following our set guide lines;
  • To carry out all cleaning duties and procedures as directed by the Head Chef, Sous Chef and Management;
  • To place orders with suppliers for food, beverages and commodities when required;
  • To ensure the SOP’s for all dishes are implemented;
  • To assist the Head Chef / Sous Chef / supervisors in the training, development and supervision chefs and kitchen stewards;
  • To stock take accurately in the absence of Head Chefs/Sous Chef and supervisors;
  • To recommend procedural and profitability improvements;
  • To check deliveries when requested.

Goods received must correspond with the order book and delivery note; Quality of produce; Correct temperature;

  • To ensure correct storage of food. (Hot food kept above 63°C, chilled food kept below 5°C.

Frozen food kept below 22°C.

Cooked food stored above raw produce;

Job Description: To prepare food using the correct method of storage, preparation, cooking and presentation.
