Porto-based opportunity with hybrid work model (up to 3 remote days per week).

As a Senior Java Developer – Regulatory Systems, you will be working for our client, a leading player in the financial industry.

You will contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge regulatory solutions, supporting compliance projects that impact global markets.

This role offers an exciting chance to advance your career at the intersection of finance and technology, driving impactful change within a dynamic team.

Your main responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain regulatory software applications, ensuring compliance and performance standards are met

Collaborate with international team members to validate and implement system changes

Write detailed technical specifications and documentation for new solutions

Manage development and UAT environments to support seamless delivery and testing phases

Assist production teams in incident resolution, daily checks, and operational support

Participate in the development of new regulatory reporting solutions

Follow best practices in CI/CD processes and Agile methodologies

You're ideal for this role if you have:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, preferably in financial services

Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, and Angular 10

Hands-on experience with REST API, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Sonar, Bitbucket, and Linux/OpenShift environments

Proficiency with SQL, Oracle, and SingleStore databases

Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as MIFID 2, EMIR REFIT, OTC, Collateral, and listed derivatives

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Agile practices, and development best practices

It is a strong plus if you have:

Experience with C# for TRR target SAKIORI

Knowledge of XL Release, XL Deploy, and CtrlM tools

Certifications or additional expertise in financial regulatory domains

Language Required for the role:

Fluent English (spoken and written)
