What we are looking for

+5 years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA);

Strong knowledge of SQL Server;

Responsibility for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of a multi-DBMS environment;

Primary focus on SQL Server versions post-2014 and Sybase ASE;

Ensuring stability, performance, and availability of production databases;

Active contribution to strategic migration initiatives;

Participation in cloud-related projects;

Key role in supporting and maintaining production environments;

Proficiency in French (C1 level);

Fluency in English.

What is this challenge about

Manage and administer SQL Server platforms (post-2014) and Sybase ASE, ensuring stability, performance, and availability in production environments;

Lead platform refreshes and migrations, including infrastructure upgrades and version updates;

Develop and maintain T-SQL and PowerShell scripts for automation, administration, and performance monitoring;

Conduct database performance tuning and optimization, assisting development teams in improving queries, stored procedures, and data models;

Implement and manage high availability solutions such as AlwaysON and Transactional Replication;

Oversee production monitoring, incident resolution, and user support for databases within the NIMOS perimeter;

Administer and optimize Microsoft BI tools including SSRS, PowerBI Server, SSIS, and SSAS;

Contribute to cloud database initiatives on Azure, AWS, and GCP, supporting migrations and new deployments;

Ensure compliance with security policies, maintain operational documentation, and participate in continuity and crisis management exercises;

Stay updated on emerging database technologies, including SQL Server 2022–2025 features, Polybase, and Hadoop, and propose improvements proactively.
